Rapid Antigen Test
What is a Rapid Antigen Test?
A rapid antigen test or RAT refers to a quick home test to find out if a person has COVID-19. The test usually provides a result within 15 to 30 minutes. You can buy RAT kits from supermarkets, drug stores, or the suppliers recommended by your physician. There are two types of RAT: Saliva test which involves a spit test or swab test and Nasal swab which involves the insertion of the swab in the nostril.

- RAT is important to make sure they don’t have COVID 19.
- RAT will not be forever as it is done twice a week or as suggested by the pediatrician.
