5 Alpharetta Holiday Traditions

Is there anything better than the holidays in Alpharetta, Georgia? At Sun Pediatrics, we love being a part of this  community! And we hope to see our neighbors out and about enjoying this magical season in our wonderful town. Here are some of our favorite Alpharetta holiday traditions:

Avalon on Ice

Can’t make it to New York this year? Why not join the fun at The Plaza at Avalon. This is a Rockefeller Center-inspired ice skating experience. One thing we know – the weather will probably be warmer! Click here to visit the website for ticketing information.

Holiday Hop & Shop

Saturday, December 2, there is a free hop on, hop off shuttle to take you around downtown Alpharetta. Visit shops and pop-up markets, take a break and enjoy a treat, and find those perfect Christmas gifts. There will also be activities, live music, gift wrapping and of course, Santa will be there! More info here.

Flicks & Flurries

On December 16, come catch a holiday short on the big screen on the Alpharetta Town Green! Enjoy the twinkling lights, snap a photo in-front of the giant inflatable snow globe, cuddle up on a cozy blanket or a lawn chair for the movies. And get up and play in the snow flurries between movies. The movies are Shrek the HallsDragons: Gift of the Night Fury and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. More info at this link.

Lights Over Alpharetta

Drive or walk through the magical light show and beautiful Christmas decorations. Select nights are open to vehicles and others open for pedestrians. There are also special nights with pictures with Santa, carolers or an invitation to bring your dogs on a leash! Find ticket information here.

Community Food Drive

Support families in need in our community with Alpharetta’s Annual Holiday Food Drive. There are lots of different locations downtown where you can drop off your donations. For information about drop-off points and needed items, visit this website.

Enjoy Alpharetta Holiday Traditions!
