Prepare for Your Visit

We look forward to seeing you. Please remember to bring your insurance card and photo identification and arrive 30 minutes early in order to complete any additional paperwork before your child’s appointment. Please present the completed forms to the receptionist upon your arrival and familiarize yourself with our office policies and what to expect during your first visit to make the most of your appointment.
We accept most commercial insurance and Medicaid plans. Co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances are due at the time of service. Contact our billing department on 1-678-904-3634 for inquiries.

Our appointment policies ensure efficient scheduling and optimal care for our patients. Please follow these guidelines for appointment scheduling, arrival, cancellations, and preparation to make the most of your visit.

Booking Your Appointment

Visit our patient portal or call (678) 501-5601 to schedule your appointment. Same-day appointments for most visits are available to accommodate your needs.

Your Arrival

Please arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment to complete any necessary paperwork and ensure a timely check-in process.

Preparing for Your Appointment

Notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Additionally, inform us of any changes to your address, insurance, or health status. Be sure to fill in any required forms prior to your visit to expedite your check-in process.

Cancellation And Rescheduling

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call us as soon as possible so we may use the time for other patients who need to be seen. There will be a $50 fee for missed appointments, or appointments not cancelled within the required time. Please note that this fee will be billed directly to you and not your insurance company.

At Sun Pediatrics, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and safe environment for all patients, guardians, visitors, and staff members. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination in any form, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, and disability. All Sun Pediatrics staff members are committed to treating every individual with respect and dignity, and we expect the same from everyone who engages with our practice.


To protect the well-being of everyone, any acts of violence, whether physical or verbal, are strictly prohibited. Weapons are not permitted on the premises, and any behavior that jeopardizes the safety or rights of others will result in immediate dismissal from our practice.

Our prescription policy ensures timely access to medications. Refills are submitted to your pharmacy within three business days. Renewals for chronic conditions require evaluation every three months. Antibiotics are prescribed judiciously for bacterial infections only. Refill Process Ongoing medications will be submitted to your pharmacy. Please allow three business days for processing. Contact us if you encounter any issues with your refill request.

Renewal Procedure

Chronic conditions necessitate evaluation every three months for ongoing prescriptions. This ensures your treatment plan remains appropriate and effective.

Antibiotic Usage

Antibiotics are prescribed conservatively, targeting bacterial infections exclusively. It’s crucial to complete the full course as prescribed to prevent antibiotic resistance.

For any questions or concerns regarding your prescriptions, feel free to contact our office. We’re here to assist you in managing your medications effectively.

There is always a Provider on call for our practice if you or the nurse need further advice. Please utilize your insurance company’s on-call pediatric nurses. Many insurance companies have a staff of trained pediatric nurses to answer your calls after hours. The number is on the back of your card.

If you need medical care after-hour we recommend Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) Urgent Care Centers or Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Emergency Departments at Scottish Rite and Egleston.

Our after hours answering services can make next day appointments if necessary.
